Leekeworld also had a fabulous one-day sale a little while back so Katu and I had some fun ordering goodies.  I got an amazing adorable wig and some cute as hell Victorian-styled boots.  The wig is for one of Sushi’s many moods and the boots will be shared amongst what I expect will become my MSD-sized army.  I already have plans for a second BBB Mei, sister to Hyacinth, named Snowdrop, who will live in Victorian clothing.  I figure she’ll probably claim the boots eventually, but until then Sushi and Hyacinth can fight over them.  Not that, y’know, I have either Sushi or Hyacinth yet either ><

I am not at all moved (nope, not at all!) by the fact that my darling Katu is getting hers soon.  Like, really soon.  As in, it’s being shipped.  Their customer service was exemplary, when Katu called to add a sleeping head/faceup to her order, they were able to do that without a problem and without slowing production at all.  Her doll was ready quite quickly.  I’m looking forward to seeing her receive her Mei.  I feel very confident ordering from them and it should take little time to save up for a Mei.  Plus Sushi and Hyacinth (see, I’ve already named her) are both 43cm dolls and can share clothes and wigs.

I’ve been poking around every corner of the DoA forums looking for pics of Meis so I can see how people have customized them and because of the variety of resin colors, they can get some really great characters.

I snagged this pic of a blue-skinned Mei from the Database thread at DoA.  She’s a Dunmer (dark elf) character that I just love.  I enjoy character dolls but rarely have full-blown characters ready to go.  Sushi is revealing herself to me slowly.  In this case, though, I had one before I even realized it.  Hyacinth pounded into my brain the SECOND I considered a Mei and will be a pink resin fae with an attitude problem.  Think Tinkerbell with a bad vocabulary but without the homicidal tendencies.  Ayup.  I’d actually like to get a group of 3 Mei to make into little fae.  Ok, mostly because I want to get the other resin colors.  So sue me.  They’re inexpensive enough that I can get multiples.  Plus how much fun will it be styling fae?  SERIOUSLY?

I also got carried away and bought her some grunged-up brass colored buckled boots that I love.  They’ll go with everything from steampunk to grunge to shabby chic.  I found these on eBay too.
